Strong-arm robbery of takeout food in Rockville


Montgomery County police responded to a report of a strong-arm robbery in Rockville yesterday afternoon, April 20, 2026. The assault and robbery took place in the 14900 block of Shady Grove Road at 4:34 PM. Police say the victim was seated inside his vehicle with a takeout order of food. A suspect approached, physically assaulted the victim, grabbed his food and fled on foot.

Police have not released a description of the suspect as of this writing. They did not indicate how the suspect managed to evade multiple surveillance cameras in the Fallsgrove Village Center parking lot.   1. The robber had probably just smoked some weed and had the munchies. It's terrible when you can't even sit in your car and eat in peace without being assaulted and robbed.

  3. I frequent the center on numerous occasions and have not seem any parking lot cameras. There are ones on a few stores, but not in the parking areas.
