Knife-wielding robber assaults victim on Rockville Pike

Montgomery County police responded to a report of an armed robbery on Rockville Pike Saturday afternoon. The victim reported having been assaulted by the suspect, who was wielding a knife. Police were called to the scene in the 1600 block of Rockville Pike, in the vicinity of Congressional Plaza, at 2:30 PM on Saturday.

Armed robbery at Rockville Shell station

Montgomery County police rushed to the scene of an armed robbery at a Rockville Shell gas station this past Saturday afternoon, January 15, 2022. The robbery occurred at the Shell station at 1911 Rockvile Pike at Rollins Avenue at 4:13 PM, according to crime data. MoCo PG News on Twitter reported that the suspect implied that he had a gun, and escaped with $500-600 in cash before police arrived. A resident on a local listserv said that the clerk was able to signal his distress to customer at the station, who then called police.

Armed robbery in Derwood

The robbery was reported outside a townhome in the 7900 block of Yellowstone Way, a new townhome development along Redland Road at 3:05 PM, according to crime data. A firearm was the weapon employed in the robbery.

Police release video of Derwood armed robbery suspect

A suspect has been caught on surveillance video in the August 3, 2021 armed robbery of the 7-Eleven convenience store/gas station at 15821 Frederick Road in Derwood. Montgomery County police have released the images, and are seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect. Detectives say he displayed a knife, and lunged at the cashier behind the counter, although this is not shown in the video footage. The suspect then allegedly fled the store with "stolen property," which was not further described as merchandise or money by police.

City of Rockville police responded to a report of an armed robbery in a parking lot in the Twinbrook area early Monday morning. The robbery was reported at a commercial parking lot in the 2000 block of Veirs Mill Road at 12:46 AM. According to crime data, the weapon employed in the robbery was not a firearm.

Armed carjacking in Rockville

City of Rockville police are searching for a vehicle stolen at gunpoint this morning. At 3:38 AM in the 200 block of Congressional Lane, three black males allegedly put a gun to the victim's head, and drove away with the victim's wallet and white 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander. The Outlander's license plate is Maryland tag number 6CP4813. Police ask you to call 911 immediately if you see this car.

An armed robbery at a Rockville restaurant drew a response from Montgomery County police last night. At least one person was assaulted in the incident, which took place at a restaurant in the 5200 block of Nicholson Lane in the White Flint area around 7:17 PM, according to crime data.

Veirs Mill Road armed carjacking suspects flee on foot in Rockville

An armed carjacking was reported in the 12000 block of Veirs Mill Road in Silver Spring last night at 8:35 PM. Montgomery County police searching for the stolen vehicle located it in Rockville, near the intersection of N. Van Buren Street and W. Middle Lane.

Three suspects bailed out of the vehicle. Officers arrested one of them, but two remain at-large. Police describe the two at-large suspects as a Latino male with braided hair wearing a red shirt, and a second Latino male wearing a black sweatshirt.

Rockville police responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Thomas Farm Community Center in the Fallsgrove community early Sunday morning. The victim was threatened with a knife in the parking lot of the facility in the 700 block of Fallsgrove Drive around 3:22 AM.

This was the second armed robbery reported in one week in Fallsgrove. The first robber wielded a gun in a wooded area off Casey Lane the previous Sunday.

Armed robbery in Rockville; two cars stolen in 24 hours

An armed robbery was reported to Rockville police Sunday night, July 26, 2020. The robbery took place in a wooded area in the 400 block of Casey Lane in Fallsgrove around 11:30 PM. A gun was the weapon used in the robbery, according to crime data.

In other Rockville crime news, two cars were reported stolen in one 24-hour period on July 27. The first was taken from a commercial parking lot in the 1400 block of Research Boulevard. A second vehicle was stolen from a residential parking lot in the 10800 block of Antigua Terrace.
