College Plaza, the venerable and popular shopping center at 15100 Frederick Road in Rockville, is getting an updated look. A significant remodeling project is underway at the property, which is anchored by a New York Mart grocery store. All tenants remain open for business during the renovations. Here's a look at the work in progress:
We used to ride our dirt bikes there before it was built. We had a long track laid out and we're bummed when the bulldozers showed up. When complete it was anchored by a Rockville grocery store call Co-Op and by a large Dart Drug and Crown Books. Long ago....
ReplyDeleteI remember that Dart Drug and Crown Books,went there with my parents in probably late 1970s. 😅
DeleteCo-op never occupied that center. They were only a tenant at 210 N. Washington St., and then became Consumers, followed by Magruder's, which then relocated to the College Plaza Shopping Center. Prior to that Shoppers Food Warehouse preceded NYM.
