The Montgomery County Council's infamous war on gas-powered leaf blowers came to blows on Halloween, according to Rockville City police. A resident of the 400 block of Silver Rock Road in the Silver Rock neighborhood was using a gas-powered leaf blower at 1:14 PM. This angered a nearby neighbor, police say, who confronted the resident about the leaf blower. The argument escalated, and the neighbor allegedly proceeded to physically assault the leaf-blowing victim. Police say they know the identity of the assailant, and have advised the victim of their ability to file assault charges.
