Sazon Inka, a new restaurant serving Peruvian-style chicken and grilled specialties, has opened in the Courthouse Center at 6 N. Washington Street in Rockville. Here are pictures of the Sazon Inka menu (click on photos to enlarge for greater detail):

DOUGH ROLLER OPENS IN ROCKVILLE (PHOTOS AND VIDEO)

The much-anticipated Dough Roller in King Farm Village Center opened on Saturday. A first step in the Ocean City, MD-favorite's expansion into the DC area, the Rockville location is currently the only Dough Roller outside of the Maryland resort town. This is arguably one of the biggest restaurant openings in the region this year, given the following Dough Roller has among Ocean City vacationers.

Although the restaurant is open, some finishing touches will be added in the coming weeks, according to a Dough Roller spokesperson. One example is a new exterior sign that is directed toward pedestrians passing outside the store. A sign holder appears to be in place to the left of the main sign, for a third sign installation. A lot of work has been done on the gleaming interior since I came past a week ago.

The menu for the Rockville Dough Roller features breakfast (starting at 7:30 AM), burgers, a hot dog, sandwiches, salads, chicken wings and fingers, crab bites, and - of course - their famous pizza and all-day pancakes. I like that their crab cake is made with 100% blue crab.

What from the OC menus doesn't show up here? Dayton's Chicken (which is only available at one of the OC locations, anyway); the Dough Roller Supreme, Meat Explosion and Pepperoni Obsessed pizzas; Italian and Seafood Dinner platters; and funnel cake fries. But many favorites did make the leap across the Bay, including the Crab Burger. And at least a couple of items that seem to be exclusive to Rockville. Having said all that, the menu changes with the time of day (for example, the breakfast items were not on display in these photos), and additional items may be added over time.  Click menu photos to enlarge for detail:

I stopped by the new Rockville location to pick up a cheese pizza, and here is my review.

VAPE INK OPENS IN ROCKVILLE (PHOTOS)

The vaping craze is officially hitting Rockville, now that the city's first vape store has opened in the Ritchie Center on Rockville Pike. Vape Ink sells vaping equipment, modifications, and the flavored "juice" to fill them up. But it is also a tattoo and piercing shop, as well - hence the "ink" in the name.

The store has a 5-star rewards program for regular customers to join. For example, program members might earn a free juice after spending $100. The selection of flavors is extensive, as are the equipment options. Staff will help you with questions and technical assistance. Customers say it's becoming a popular hangout for vapers in Rockville. Patrons can sample juice flavors, and the shop features a "Juice of the Day"; the store is for those age 18+ only.

Vape Ink is open Monday to Thursday, 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Friday and Saturday, 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and Sundays, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

PIER 1 IMPORTS OPENS IN ROCKVILLE (PHOTOS)

Pier 1 Imports has opened its new store at 12137 Rockville Pike, in the Pike Center. The store replaces the original one forced out by development at 1590 Rockville Pike.

For those unfamiliar, Pier 1 carries furniture, gifts, housewares and home decor, as well as seasonal merchandise. Here are some photos of the new store:

82 STEAK OUT OPEN AT ROCKVILLE TOWN SQUARE

The place to be for dinner tonight in Rockville is the Grand Opening of 82 Steak Out in Rockville Town Square. Get French-style steak frites and fries, as well as a salad, for only $18.82. You can get some of the usual steakhouse sides for $6.82 each, and desserts (including a brownie sundae!) for $7.82. You can check out the complete menu here.

The new Cheesecake Factory at Westfield Montgomery Mall will open today at 11:30 AM.

WICKED WAFFLE OPENS AT WESTFIELD MONTGOMERY MALL

Wicked Waffle opened on Black Friday at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda. The restaurant serves waffle sandwiches ranging from breakfast eggs to peanut butter and jelly. Wicked Waffle is located in the food court.

WALGREENS OPENS IN ROCKVILLE (PHOTOS)

Walgreens has opened on MD 355, at the former location of The Orange Ball in Rockville Town Center. The spacious new pharmacy is one of 2 new Walgreens expected to open in Rockville.
