Paris Baguette has posted "coming soon" signage at its future space at 101-A Gibbs Street at Rockville Town Square. The "neighborhood bakery cafe" chain sells a variety of breads, cakes, sandwiches, salads, coffee and tea. They'll go head-to-head with Fresh Baguette, located a few blocks north at 804 Hungerford Drive. When it opens, look for Paris Baguette next to El Mercat Bar de Tapas.
I need that cake.
ReplyDeleteLet’s see how long it will stay. Rockville should market itself as the Real Chinatown of DC metro and build its competitive advantage on that front. May be that will finally be the key to turn Town Center to a thriving place. Perhaps we can attract tourists as well.

ReplyDeleteCity of Rockville Regisence -Wow, this is fantastic news! I've been feeling a bit down lately because there weren't many exciting options in the town center to meet up with friends. Having Paris Baguette coming to Rockville is a refreshing change that brings a new energy to the area. While I appreciate the presence of Chinese businesses outside the town center, I believe it's important for the main place to offer a more diverse range of options. Just like Pike & Rose and Bethesda Row, having a mix of businesses that appeal to everyone will create a vibrant atmosphere where people can gather, socialize, and have a great time. It's all about creating a town center that becomes a go-to destination for locals and visitors alike!
