Rockville police chief resigns

Rockville City Police Chief Victor Brito has resigned. His resignation was announced by City Manager Jeff Mihelich this afternoon, but no reason for Brito's departure was given. Brito's six-year career as chief will conclude on Friday, November 22, 2024. "As the city is committed to ensuring the public’s safety, recruitment for a new police chief will begin in the near future," Mihelich said in his statement. "On behalf of the community and the Mayor and Council, I would like to thank Chief Brito for his service to protecting and serving the City of Rockville."

  1. This guy was lots of babble, beautiful office, not a lot of coherence. Rockville has done and can do better. Wish him well.

  3. Poor guy wasn't given the authority to crack down on crime, so of course crime and violence went up,and he had to take the blame and resign, ridiculous times we live in.

I requested to speak to the chief of the Rockville PD .and a different cop presented himself as such..there is a crime ring within the police department in Rockville and there is no international presence...the department is a mess and they doing fraud as far ticketing departments and it's highway robbery stealing from the American public and this department needs turn over and investigation.
