I predicted that Tequila restaurant would last a year. It lasted four months. I'll predict that Chef Wang's lasts one year. Prove me wrong Mr. Wang!
ReplyDeleteHere is one more prediction. Kung Fu Kitchen will go under in 8 months. You read it here first!
Do you know which chinese restaurants keep truckin' on in downtown Rockville? Bob's Shanghai 66 and Jin River. They are doing something right to survive the Rockville Town Center wasteland.
I drove last king fu kitchen the other day and it was packed so not sure about that prediction. But yeh not sure if Chef Wang is aware we have about 40 Asian restaurants within a couple blocks.
DeleteNo offense but your tequila prediction was also wrong
DeleteIt is weird how some restaurants survive and some go under quickly at Rockville town center. La canala, the peruvian restaurant, has been around for a while, but I never hear anyone talk about or know anyone who has eaten there. Buffalo Wild Wings has been there a while, as well as Lebanese Taverna. Some restaurants make it at town center but a lot do not. People have blamed the high rent and parking issues. My two teenage daughters hang out there a lot. One described the scene this Friday evening as “a ghost town” and added, “no wonder restaurants can’t stay is business.”
DeleteKing Fu kitchen is awesome. The whole west end hood loves it. Try it.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget East Dumpling house, it is packed in the weekends!!
