Rockville City police responded to a report of gunfire in the New Mark Commons community in Rockville on January 5, 2026. Officers found that an unidentified suspect had fired a gun at 11:30 PM. At least one round struck the window of a home in the unit block of Tapiola Court. Police do not have a description of the shooter at this time.
