Hair Design Zone opens at Rockville Town Square

Hair Design Zone opened yesterday at Rockville Town Square. The hair salon replaces Hair Cuttery, but no one will confuse the two.

As I previously reported, owner Juan Ma is bringing her experience from top salons in Japan to Rockville. Serving both male and female clients, HDZ offers popular salon products, but also a full line of Japan's premiere Milbon brand.

Something else you won't find at your typical neighborhood salon - kimono dressing.

Some coming soon signage has appeared at the future home of Hair Design Zone, at 141-C Gibbs Street in Rockville Town Square. Owner Juan Ma is a veteran of top salons in Japan.

Hairstylist Juan Ma is bringing 10 years of experience at Abanai, one of the top salons in Osaka, Japan, to Rockville Town Square. But first she needs a salon, and that work is underway at 141-C Gibbs Street. Hair Design Zone will aim to bring the latest hair designs and styling methods from Japan and America to Rockville, offering haircare, cuts and coloring.

The salon replaces The Hair Cuttery, which closed last August.

HAIR DESIGN ZONE TO TAKE OVER HAIR CUTTERY SPACE AT ROCKVILLE TOWN SQUARE

Hair will remain the theme in the former Hair Cuttery space at Rockville Town Square. The haircut chain's vacant spot will be filled by Hair Design Zone. Nothing is known about HDZ at this time (such as, is it a notch upscale or downscale from Hair Cuttery?), but it appears to not be a national chain.
