Nothing Bundt Cakes to open in Rockville

Nothing Bundt Cakes is coming soon to Rockville. The bakery will be located at 1032 Rockville Pike at Edmonston Crossing. "Baking soon" signage has been posted in its future storefront windows. This was previously home to Sun's Carpet & Floors.

A national chain, Nothing Bundt Cakes offers 1950s Bundt cakes in 8" or 10", tiered Bundt cakes, Bundtlet miniature cakes, and bite-sized Bundtini cakes. Flavors include Classic Vanilla, Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Red Velvet, White Chocolate Raspberry, Confetti, Carrot Cake, Lemon, Snickerdoodle, and Pumpkin Spice. There are also two gluten-free flavors, Lemon Raspberry, and Chocolate Chip Cookie. Nothing Bundt Cakes has several existing Montgomery County locations, including Bethesda, Silver Spring, Gaithersburg, and Germantown.

Hertz rent-a-car opens new Rockville location

Hertz rent-a-car has opened a new Rockville location. It is "just up the Pike" from their existing office, at 1052 Rockville Pike, in the Edmonston Crossing shopping center. Operating hours at the new location are 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturdays, and closed on Sundays. Wow, those are limited hours - - you'll have to run like O.J. Simpson to get there before closing time.

Advanced Massage opening in Rockville

If you need an advanced massage, just the spa for you is opening soon in Rockville. Advanced Massage is coming soon to the Edmonston Crossing shopping center. It takes over that empty space at 1028 Rockville Pike, between Rockville Auto Tag & Title and Angkor Nails & Spa. Advanced Massage is apparently not to be confused with Massage Advanced, which also has a Rockville location at 821 Hungerford Drive.

Naz's Halal opens in Rockville

Naz's Halal is now open at 1040 Rockville Pike, in the Edmonston Crossing shopping center. The restaurant began as a food truck in Queens, New York, and has now expanded into bricks-and-mortar operations in California, Maryland, New York, and Rhode Island. This Rockville location is so new, it doesn't even appear on the locations section of their website yet - but, you can order from the Rockville restaurant through the website.

The menu features gyros, sandwiches, platters showcasing various meats or falafel over rice, and chicken wings. One of the specialties they are known for is their fried fish gyro, based on one of the founders' grandmother's recipe. Look for Naz's Halal next to Shiseido at Edmonston Crossing.

Rockville LensCrafters moves to new Pike & Rose location (Photos)

The new LensCrafters store at 901 Rose Avenue at Pike & Rose in Rockville isn't entirely new. It is actually the new location of the existing LensCrafters shop at 1060 Rockville Pike at Edmonston Crossing. That location has now been cleared out.

Kids2Teen Bedrooms store closing in Rockville (Photos)

You might save a few bucks on back-to-school bedroom makeovers at Kids2Teen Bedrooms at 1052 Rockville Pike, in the Edmonston Crossing shopping center. Unfortunately, it is because the store is closing. A closing sale is now underway. The sale includes mattresses, platform beds, futons, sofa convertibles, and Murphy cabinets. Everything must go!!

Pike Chicken and Beer first confirmed tenant at future Rockville Asian food hall

The first confirmed vendor at the Pike Kitchen Asian food hall at 1066 Rockville Pike is Pike Chicken and Beer. They tentatively expect to open in September. The food hall is located in the Edmonston Crossing shopping center, next to Taco Bell.

Pike Kitchen will bring the popular Northern Virginia Asian food hall experience to Rockville this summer. The 6209 SF food court will feature several eateries and vendors serving food and beverages from a variety of Asian countries, and will be located in the Edmonston Crossing shopping center at 1066 Rockville Pike (next to Taco Bell). Coming Soon signage has just been posted outside their space.

CS NY Pizza to bring New York-style pizza to Rockville

Having mastered the art of real Neapolitan pizza, the owners of Pizza CS in Rockville are turning their attention to a pizza capital a little closer to home: New York City. CS NY Pizza is promising to bring authentic New York-style pizza to the Edmonston Crossing shopping center, located at 1020-1066 Rockville Pike, just north of Taco Bell.

CS NY Pizza is scheduled to open in March.
