Armed robbery at Derwood gas station


Montgomery County police responded to a report of an armed robbery at a gas station in Derwood early Monday night, April 1, 2024. The robbery was reported at a gas station in the 15800 block of Frederick Road, across from the King Farm neighborhood of Rockville, at 6:21 PM Monday. A firearm was the weapon used in the robbery.

Robbery at knifepoint at Rockville apartment building


Rockville City police responded to a report of an armed robbery at an apartment complex early Tuesday morning, March 26, 2024. The victim reported being held up at knifepoint at an apartment building in the 100 block of E. Argyle Street at 2:41 AM Tuesday. That is a garden apartment complex a few blocks south of the Rockville Town Center area.

Montgomery County police responded to a report of an armed robbery at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda late Monday afternoon. The robbery was reported at the mall at 5:04 PM Monday. A knife was the weapon employed in the robbery.

Rockville apartment tenant robbed, assaulted at knifepoint


Rockville City police are searching for a suspect in the March 2, 2024 armed robbery and assault at an apartment complex in the 2000 block of Baltimore Road. Around 3:12 PM Saturday, a tenant was just outside his apartment door when he was approached by an adult male suspect. The suspect displayed a knife, and demanded the tenant empty his pockets. Refusing to comply, the tenant attempted to flee.

The suspect then kicked the tenant, and managed to obtain cash from the victim before fleeing the scene. Police describe the suspect as a male of unknown race, wearing a black jacket with a hood. Anyone who has information regarding the suspect or this incident is asked to call police at 240-314-8900.

Rockville City police responded to a report of an armed carjacking in a parking garage early Tuesday morning, December 5, 2023. The carjacking was reported in a commercial parking garage in the 15100 block of Frederick Road at 2:19 AM Tuesday. That's along MD 355, between College Parkway and Gude Drive.

Armed robbery at Rockville home


Montgomery County police responded to a report of an armed robbery at a home in Rockville yesterday morning, December 1, 2023. The robbery was reported at a residence in the 14100 block of Chinkapin Drive at 4:14 AM Friday. Among the property reportedly demanded in the robbery was a vehicle. A firearm was the weapon employed in the incident. Chinkapin Drive is in the Willows of Potomac neighborhood, which is located off of Shady Grove Road.

Masked suspects sought in Rockville armed carjacking


Rockville City police have released more details about the armed carjacking that took place on a residential street last week. Police say the female victim was approached by several masked suspects brandishing weapons outside a home on Leonard Court in the Markwood neighborhood around 9:12 PM on November 8. Rockville City police responded to a report of an armed carjacking in the Markwood neighborhood Wednesday night, November 8, 2023. It was reported on Leonard Court, a cul-de-sac off of Potomac Valley Road near the Falls Road interchange of I-270. The carjacking took place at 9:12 PM Wednesday.

Rosebud! Montgomery County police responded to a report of an armed robbery outside a home in Rockville Monday night, November 6, 2023. The robbery was reported on the street in the 12500 block of Rosebud Drive at 9:15 PM Monday. A knife was the weapon employed in the robbery.

Do you recognize this alleged armed robber of Dawson's Market in Rockville?


Montgomery County police are seeking the public's help in identifying and locating a suspect in yesterday's armed robbery of Dawson's Market at Rockville Town Square. The suspect entered the grocery store around 10:40 AM Monday, October 2, 2023. He allegedly attempted to shoplift food from the store, but was intercepted by an employee, who asked him to leave the premises. The suspect complied and left the store. Around 11:09 AM, the suspect returned to the store, allegedly brandishing a knife, took food and fled on foot. Detectives have released surveillance video from the store.

Police describe the suspect as a Black male, 27 to 37-years-old, 5'10" tall, and weighing approximately 225-250 pounds. He was wearing an orange baseball cap, black hooded sweatshirt, red t-shirt, black pants, white and gray sneakers, blue surgical mask and red and black gloves.

Montgomery County police officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at a restaurant in Rockville on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. The robbery was reported at a restaurant in the 5200 block of Randolph Road at 11:30 AM. That appears to be a restaurant at Loehmann's Plaza.

Armed robbery, auto theft, burglary at townhome in Rockville


Rockville City police responded to a report of an armed robbery at a townhome community in the Tower Oaks area of Rockville yesterday morning, July 27, 2023. One or more burglars gained entry to a townhome in the 1200 block of Treasure Oak Court, and committed an armed robbery with a weapon other than a firearm. A vehicle was reported stolen from the residence, as well. Police responded to the scene at 11:00 AM Thursday.

Rockville resident kidnapped at gunpoint, stabbed, forced to allow robbers to loot his apartment


A Rockville resident was kidnapped at gunpoint in his apartment building garage, stabbed, bound with zip ties, and forced to lead his hooded and masked captors upstairs to his home, Montgomery County police said this morning. Police were called to the building on Key West Avenue at 1:25 AM on Monday, July 10, 2023 for a reported home invasion robbery. They found the adult male victim suffering from serious injuries, and he was transported to a local hospital.

The victim has told detectives that six Black males in their twenties approached him after he exited his vehicle in the parking garage of his apartment building. They displayed handguns, and informed the victim that this was a robbery. The suspects then stabbed and assaulted the victim, and used zip ties to bind his hands behind his back. He was forced into the suspect's vehicle, where they demanded he accompany them up to his apartment.

After the victim was led upstairs to his apartment by the suspects, the men took a safe holding an undisclosed amount of cash and jewelry, and fled the scene. Family members of the victim in the apartment were not harmed, police said. 

Detectives have released surveillance video from the apartment building's elevator, and from the victim's apartment. One of the suspects is described by police as a Black male, in his twenties, with curly hair, medium build and armed with a handgun. He was wearing a black ski mask and black clothing. Police have not given a more detailed description of the other five suspects.

Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this crime or the suspects involved to call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspects. Callers may remain anonymous.

Armed robbery at Rockville convenience store


At 5:15 PM Friday, June 2, 2023, the Rockville City police department tweeted that there was police activity in the 200 block of Park Road, but did not specify what it was in relation to. It turns out that officers were investigating an armed robbery that was reported at a convenience store around 3:35 PM. A firearm was the weapon utilized in the robbery. Metro Coffee Convenience is located on that block, which is across MD 355 from Rockville Town Center.

Can you identify these Rockville armed carjacking suspects?


Rockville City police are seeking the public's help in identifying and locating two suspects in an attempted armed carjacking at a gas station last night, May 22, 2023. At 8:15 PM, police say, these two suspects approached a customer pumping gas at the Exxon station at 200 N. Washington Street. One allegedly pulled out a handgun, and demanded the customer's car keys. The victim declined, and alerted bystanders to the robbery in progress. At that point, the suspects fled on foot, having obtained nothing.

Police released a surveillance camera image showing the suspects this afternoon. Anyone with information as to the identity of the suspects, or the attempted robbery, is asked to contact the RCPD Criminal Investigations Unit at 240-314-8938.

Rockville armed carjacking suspects arrested

Montgomery County police announced this morning that two suspects have been located and arrested in the November 23, 2021 attempted armed carjacking in Rockville. Mateo Paredes-Vincent, 19, of Washington, D.C. and Havanna Holland-Miller, 20,  of Southbridge, Massachusetts will face attempted armed carjacking charges in the incident that occurred at 5:30 PM that day, at an apartment complex in the 100 block of Talbott Street.

Paredes-Vincent was located by detectives in an Alachua, Florida jail, where is he currently imprisoned on unrelated charges in that jurisdiction. Holland-Millar has been arrested by the Southbridge Police Department in Massachusetts. Both are in custody and awaiting extradition to Montgomery County, Maryland.

Rockville woman arrested as co-conspirator in armed robbery of delivery driver


An alleged co-conspirator in last month's armed robbery of a delivery driver in the Fallsgrove area of Rockville has been arrested. Rockville City police say that Demia Lincoln-Scott, 20, of the 700 block of Fallsgrove Drive intentionally made a delivery order for food she had no intention of accepting. Instead, they allege, she had the delivery drive sent to the fourth floor of a different apartment building, where Gerrard Harrison allegedly lay in wait to rob him at gunpoint. Harrison was arrested March 3.

Lincoln-Scott was arrested yesterday by Rockville police detectives without incident, the department said in a press release. She was transported to the Montgomery County police Central Processing Unit, and has been charged with Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery,Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Assault, and Conspiracy to Commit Second Degree Assault.

Armed carjacking in Rockville


Rockville City police responded to a report of an armed carjacking in the King Farm area Saturday night. The carjacking was reported in the 1300 block of Piccard Drive at 9:20 PM on March 11, 2023. According to police, the victim was approached by a thin black male in his early teens, who was approximately 5'7" tall, and wearing a black hoodie. The suspect pointed a handgun at the victim, and demanded their car keys. After the victim complied, the suspect allegedly fled in the victim's blue 2017 Hyundai Sonata with MD tag number 2DB6897.
