China Garden is finally happening. The restaurant's owners told me last night that they have scheduled a soft opening for their long-delayed new location at 11333 Woodglen Drive in the White Flint area of Rockville. China Garden will open on July 12, 2019 at 11:00 AM for lunch.
Specializing in dim sum and authentic Cantonese cuisine, China Garden has operated since 1973 in its original Virginia location. All of their chefs are recruited directly from Hong Kong.
I was @ Whole Foods this AM @ 1o10AM and there was already a line for their 1030am Sunday open time. Is the food that good? All in line were East Asian looking, so I'm guessing they were Chinese. Chinese don't want to cook?
ReplyDeleteAs Oriental East Dim Sum closed in Sept 2017 (0n east west highway in Blair Park Shopping Center)there is a void to fill in MoCo.
Yes, from what I've seen, the place is packed. Their reputation from Northern Virginia seems to have followed them to White Flint.
