Public hearing set for North Stonestreet Avenue master plan amendment

The Rockville Planning Commission will hear public testimony regarding an amendment to the North Stonestreet Avenue master plan on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 7:00 PM at City Hall. If passed, the amendment will affect properties along North Stonestreet Avenue between Spring Avenue to the north, and Howard Avenue to the south. That area is currently occupied by Montgomery
County Public Schools and Crusader Baptist Church, in the historic former Lincoln High School.

You can read the hearing draft of the amendment online here.

  1. Why so quiet on your surprise defeat this past Tuesday?

    1. 9:39: They need to release all the polling data by precinct before we can see exactly what they did. For example, why, 36 yours after the election ended, were two precincts' voting results not yet tabulated and posted by the Board of Elections?

  2. Bethesda Beat has wall-to-wall coverage on the election. Record turnout! Record defeat for Dyer!

    1. 7:46: Did their coverage ask why all precinct votes weren't counted 36 hours after the election, or how the voter universe had magically increased by 100,000 in only four years?

    2. Why do you keep using this weird phrase "voter universe"? The word you want is "turnout". Turnout was at record levels for a mid-term election nationwide, because of anger over Trump and the Republicans. In Montgomery County, turnout was 39% in 2014, 54% this year. The number of registered voters in Montgomery County certainly hasn't increased "by 100,000" in our county since 2014.

    3. 1:42: Riiiiight. Trump wasn't on the ballot, and federal-level Democrat candidates were already expected to win in landslides. So the reason for people to come out and vote was...uh, non-existent.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, a majority of DEMOCRATS were angry about Westbard, Lyttonsville, MCPS bus depot, etc., and a majority of DEMOCRATS voted FOR term limits.

And now we are supposed to believe that they elected four at-large Council members who favor all the stuff they were angry about, and will vote the same way as the folks the Democrats just term-limited out of office?

Total BS. We have what appears to be an illegitimate election.

    4. Mr. Dyer, you stated "We have what appears to be an illegitimate election." Are you suggesting that there was election malfeasance or fraud in the November 6, 2018 Montgomery County election? Do you have proof. If so, please present your proof.

  3. "Meanwhile, back in the real world, a majority of DEMOCRATS were angry about Westbard, Lyttonsville, MCPS bus depot..."

Delusional. How many people County-wide, Democrat or Republican, are angry about any of those three projects? Or have even heard of them, especially the last two?

    1. 10:42: LOL - did you miss when nearly 70% of voters approved term limits in 2016? But then two years later, supposedly voted for candidates who will vote the exact same way as the bums they term-limited?

11:55: A voter universe that expanded by 100,000 voters in only four years, 3 precincts not counted several days after the election, a driver's license mill busted by police days before the election, tens of thousands of expired names still on the voter rolls, deflated vote total for the only candidate in the At-Large race with actual name recognition in the County, collusion with the Washington Post and other media outlets to write nothing about the general election Council races, collusion with community organizations and civic associations to cancel their debates.

Those are some of the issues so far, but let's wait until the precinct-by-precinct results are released to find the anomalies at specific polling places (as I noted in 2010 and 2014).
