Lebanese Taverna and Chico's are moving at Congressional Plaza on Rockville Pike. Both stores have new spaces under construction at the shopping center, while the original locations continue to operate. The new Lebanese Taverna space will be by Modern Market..
0 Dark 30 on a Sunday is an odd time to take construction photos.
ReplyDeleteAnd why is Lebanese Taverna moving? Are they struggling because of the lack of a movie theater in that shopping center?
9:05: You do realize the sun goes down by 5:00 in winter, carpetbagger?
DeleteCarpetbagger? Why? How?
Delete9:05am/10:14am is a big fan of the construction worker in the Village People
DeleteMaybe a walking tour of areas around theaters in the county is needed for folks who believe theaters are empty?
ReplyDeleteCould also be a good segment on Kojo.
Why are they moving and what are they replacing? What is going to go into their former spaces?
ReplyDeletethe only store that I will always miss at Congressional Plaza is Tower Records and maybe the movie theater.

DeleteThey had a J.C. Penney's?
Delete8:22: Yes, I was in it. I can confirm it was two levels.
DeleteWhat's the deal at Lebanese Taverna in Rockville Town Center??? I was in there for lunch on Wednesday, December 26th and the place smelled strongly of sewer gas (no kidding). I had to leave... I watched others leave as well.
ReplyDeleteI think that was probably the Baba Ghanoush you were smelling.
