  1. Good thing the pro police Takoma Park tycoon was re-elected. He is doing such a great job that 73 percent of his fellow reefer heads he polled said MOCO is going in right direction. That is true if you consider failing schools, departing employers, high net wealth residents and a hollowed out police department to be the “right direction”

  4. Unfortunately no matter where you go you are always gonna find people acting like idiots specifically when you are in area with bars, but if I look around other parts of maryland i really know MOCO is the best around.

  5. These "assault crime" postings are very misleading due to the fact that they cover such a broad base of incidents. This could be anything from an employee being shoved or grabbed by a patron, a dispute between a married couple, or an actual bodily impact assault of a serious nature. But the use of this "Assault" adjective leads a reader to instantly assume the worse. Perhaps the addition of more details, if available, or not even posting of a vague crime would lessen the impact these listing have on the knee-jerks in the audience.

    1. I think more than anything, it makes the argument for the police sharing more details about these incidents with the public, for just that reason. Having said that, I am simply reporting what incidents have taken place, to the full extent of what information the police are willing to make public at this point.

  6. We all know crime in Montgomery County is through the ceiling. Lets not try and sweep even minor assault charges under the rug.Thats a disservice to law abiding Montgomery County residents who need to be kept informed on the crime in their neighborhoods, even if it's minor assault, which is still assault. Rockville Nights does a very good service by reporting these incidents.
