Bethesda's Pines of Rome to open Rockville location
Pines of Rome, the Italian restaurant that has been a Bethesda institution since 1972, is expanding to Rockville this summer. The second Pines of Rome will be located at 121 Congressional Lane, behind Mykonos Grill, in the Congressional North Plaza. A spokesperson for the restaurant said they have a tentative opening date of July 5, 2023, if all goes according to plan. Bethesda's favorite white pizza will now enter the pizza wars in Rockville, alongside the classic Italian dishes that have kept customers and families coming back for more than two generations.

What a weird location. I suppose they think name recognition will carry them and that people will seek them out anyways. We'll see if they're right or if it was dumb to not locate in an area with people walking/driving by with regularity.
ReplyDeleteI agree bad choice with bed bath & Beyond closing
ReplyDeleteI like the fact that Marco will be coming to Rockville. Word of mouth will spread. Look forward to the opening. Alan Sherman

ReplyDeleteI’ve been going since 1969 and anyone who’s anyone and loves Pines of Rome will go anywhere they open so I disagree. They are destination restaurant doesn’t matter where they are located.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited. I moved 2 blocks from this new site last November. What a joy to have such an old favorite so nearby.
