Mr. Banh Mi's dining room has been cleared out at the Ritchie Center on Rockville Pike. A sign in the window promises the closure is temporary, but offers no explanation.
On Sunday, Miso Fusion Cafe was dark during its regular hours. Paper was tacked up over the windows at the Korean fusion restaurant, which opened last year at 33-E Maryland Avenue, at Rockville Town Square. No sign was posted to explain the closure.
I can explain the second one easy, "Korean cuisine"
ReplyDeleteMatt's House of Kabob, located in College Plaza at 15108 Frederick Road just closed. Are there an unusual number of restaurant closings in Rockville or is it my imagination? If there are… why???
ReplyDeletealso the Upscale Resale Thrift Store closed in College Plaza. Anyone know why or if they might reopen elsewhere?
DeleteThere sure is a lot of turnover at all these Federal Realty properties - Rockville Town Square, Pike & Rose, Bethesda Row.
ReplyDeleteDo you mean "Fraudulent Robbery" properties?
ReplyDeleteThey are just bad places. Nobody will miss them.
ReplyDeleteThis restaurant failed from the start. They had very poor reviews and most customers did not return after their initial visit. You want a sign of a failing food establishment? Wait to see how long the go before having a DJ and dancing on weekend night. That's a sure sign of desperation to pay the rent.
ReplyDeletetheir menu wasnt too bad when they opened but they kept changing it to try and adapt to the rockville market; again, a tough place to have a business; he's got a VA location that does really well; goes to show RTS is almost impossible to do business in
