Assault at Rockville grocery store


Rockville City police responded to a report of an assault at a grocery store Monday night. The assault was reported at a supermarket in the 1800 block of Rockville Pike at 8:10 PM, according to crime data. There is a Safeway store on that block.

      That's the only grocery store on the block, so it appears so.

    It’s always something at that Safeway. I witness a guy take a ladies wallet right out of her purse while she was ringing her grocery’s up at the self checkout register

      Yes it seems like that area around Congressional Plaza has had multiple assaults and armed robberies and car jackings.
