Rockville City police responded to a report of an assault in a wooded area south of King Farm early yesterday afternoon. The assault was reported in a wooded area along Piccard Drive at 12:55 PM, according to crime data. There is a forested stream valley that runs behind several office buildings along Piccard between King Farm and Gude Drive.
There is also a hotel that MoCo Govt has converted to low income housing right across the street from assault location.

ReplyDeleteTrying to figure out the location. Is this the wooded area between Redland and Gude? I don't think there are any paths in that wooded area, so I would think the victim likely would have been pulled into it from an adjacent area. The only converted hotel-type property in that area I believe is the Flats at Shady Grove, which I believe is a privately owned apartment complex not public low income housing.
