EV & MADDIE'S TO OPEN IN ROCKVILLE TOWN SQUARE (PHOTOS)

Ev and Maddie's Contemporary Bistro is taking over the just-vacated 82 Steak Out space in Rockville Town Square. The European-style bistro will be helmed by Chef Patrick Pak, an alumnus of La Academie de Cuisine, according to the academy. Chef Pak will employ local ingredients, and men were already working to convert the interior when I stopped by. Signs posted at the restaurant say it will open next month.

  1. My prediction ... closed by January 2016. This space already has 3 strikes against it.

    1. The previous owners sold $20 cheesesteaks that were made with frozen meat. I wonder why they went out of business?

  2. This part of Gibbs street just doesn't seem as lively compared to Maryland Ave.

  5. Great service, delicious food, and reasonable prices are the things that matter to me. I believe this new place will have all these things! Can't wait till it opens!

  6. Why did the person above LIE about the cheesesteaks being $20? Annoying. I've read reviews on many places where some people lie about the prices being a certain amount, and I find out otherwise. People who lie about prices being too high and then exaggerating the real prices contribute to places like Steak 82 going out of business. IMO, these liars should be sued for the losses that businesses suffer by spreading misinformation.
