EV & MADDIE'S TO OPEN IN ROCKVILLE TOWN SQUARE (PHOTOS)
Ev and Maddie's Contemporary Bistro is taking over the just-vacated 82 Steak Out space in Rockville Town Square. The European-style bistro will be helmed by Chef Patrick Pak, an alumnus of La Academie de Cuisine, according to the academy. Chef Pak will employ local ingredients, and men were already working to convert the interior when I stopped by. Signs posted at the restaurant say it will open next month.

My prediction ... closed by January 2016. This space already has 3 strikes against it.
ReplyDeleteThe previous owners sold $20 cheesesteaks that were made with frozen meat. I wonder why they went out of business?
DeleteBad things happen in threes...Ev & Maddy's will thrive and prove you wrong!
DeleteI just checked 82 steaks outs menu. The cheesesteaks were $9 or $12 with fries.
DeleteThis part of Gibbs street just doesn't seem as lively compared to Maryland Ave.
ReplyDeleteSad but true... Tippy's and Steak 82 were actually decent joints.
ReplyDeletetippys? that place was horrible! if you want REAL tippys, go to fairfax
DeleteWe should them a chance and our business; I hope they show up on Spotluck!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck!
Great service, delicious food, and reasonable prices are the things that matter to me. I believe this new place will have all these things! Can't wait till it opens!
ReplyDeleteWhy did the person above LIE about the cheesesteaks being $20? Annoying. I've read reviews on many places where some people lie about the prices being a certain amount, and I find out otherwise. People who lie about prices being too high and then exaggerating the real prices contribute to places like Steak 82 going out of business. IMO, these liars should be sued for the losses that businesses suffer by spreading misinformation.
