Jersey Mike's Fallsgrove open in Rockville

Jersey Mike's has opened at the Fallsgrove Village Center in Rockville. There's no shortage of sandwich options here now, with Panera Bread and Starbucks in the same shopping center. Certainly the sandwich size will be heartiest at Jersey Mike's. All bets are off if the Hot Now light is on at Krispy Kreme, though...

    1. Just about. A new one opened in downtown Silver Spring in January, but most have been closing.

  3. What is the status of Wegmans in Rockville? You won’t answer my question, and I seriously want to know. You are the only real reporter in Rockville. Where else could I turn if you won’t answer?

    1. Nothing has been publicly announced about the status of Wegmans. The facts on the ground give a hint - Fuddruckers was forced out, and Extreme Halloween opened, so we know they won't be demolishing until November at earliest. But it should be a matter of months, not years, as they did not extend Fuddruckers' lease for another year.

  4. Well then another blog said we won’t see it until at least 2022. Any comments?

    1. 11:25: Are you referring to groundbreaking or the store opening? Naturally, if groundbreaking for the office building Wegmans is part of takes place in 2020, it will take about 2 years to complete.

If someone is saying 2022 for groundbreaking, based on what BF Saul said, Wegmans would pull out of the deal at that point. They want to get that store open.
