Maryland State Police from Rockville barrack to crack down on drunk drivers this weekend

Maryland state troopers from the Rockville state police barrack will conduct a high-visibility DUI enforcement effort in Montgomery County this weekend. It is part of a statewide effort by the department to discourage drunk driving around the Cinco de Mayo holiday. Troopers from Rockville will be participating in saturation patrols and enforcement on I-495 "and surrounding areas." To cover the cost of having the additional personnel and vehicles on patrol, the MSP are utilizing funds provided by the Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration’s Highway Safety Office. The botttom line: You do not want to be driving on roadways in Maryland this weekend, if your blood alcohol level is over the legal limit.
