Police called after assault at Rockville gas station

Officers with the Montgomery County police department were called to a gas station in Rockville on the afternoon of New Year's Day, after an individual reported having been the victim of a 2nd-degree assault there. The assault was reported at 2:31 PM Monday at a gas station in the 5400 block of Randolph Road. There is a Liberty gas station on that block of Randolph.

Police respond to assault at Rockville department store

Montgomery County police responded to a report of a 2nd-degree assault at a Rockville department store Wednesday evening, December 27, 2023. The assault was reported at a store in the 12000 block of Rockville Pike at 8:37 PM. A suspect was also accused of disorderly conduct and trespassing in the same incident.

Aggravated assault in Rockville parking lot

Rockville City police responded to a report of an aggravated assault in a parking lot early Saturday morning, December 23, 2023. The assault was reported in a commercial parking lot in the 1700 block of Rockville Pike at 12:00 AM Saturday. Property damage was also reported in the incident.

Police called after assault at Rockville restaurant

Rockville City police were called to a restaurant just north of the Town Center area on the afternoon of December 21, 2023, after someone reported being the victim of a 2nd-degree assault there. The assault was reported at a restaurant in the 700 block of Hungerford Drive (MD 355) at 5:00 PM Thursday.

Assault at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda

Montgomery County police were called to Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda Wednesday night, December 20, 2023, after a 2nd-degree assault was reported there. The assault was reported at the mall at 9:40 PM Wednesday. This is the fifth assault reported at the mall this year, and the first since October 20. The mall is now virtually assured of ending the year with a major reduction in violent crime in 2023, as 12 assaults were reported there in 2022. This improvement may be attributed to Montgomery County police having opened a "resource room" at the popular retail center during last year's upward trend of assaults.

Assault at government building in Rockville

Rockville City police responded to a report of a 2nd-degree assault at a government building in the Town Center area early yesterday afternoon, December 21, 2023. The assault was reported at 1:59 PM Thursday at a building in the unit block of W. Montgomery Avenue. Property was reported stolen from a vehicle in the same incident.

Police called after aggravated assault with firearm in Rockville office park

Rockville City police responded to a report of an aggravated assault with a firearm in an office park early Monday afternoon, December 18, 2023. The assault was reported in the parking lot outside a building in the unit block of Research Place at 1:00 PM Monday. There are several office buildings and a self-storage business on that cul-de-sac adjacent to I-270.

Aggravated assault in Rockville office park

Rockville City police were called to an office park off of Gude Drive early Thursday afternoon, December 14, 2023, after an aggravated assault was reported there. The assault was reported on the street in the 1300 block of Piccard Drive at 12:23 PM Thursday. According to police, the altercation was a domestic incident among family members.

Police called after assault at Rockville restaurant

Rockville City police officers were summoned to a restaurant in the Fallsgrove Village Center late Sunday afternoon, December 10, 2023, after an individual reported having been the victim of an assault there. The assault was reported at 5:05 PM Sunday. 

Police respond to another assault at Rockville Giant store

The Giant grocery store at 625 Hungerford Drive in Rockville is making news again, and not for the hyperinflated food prices. Rockville City police were called to the supermarket yet again early Thursday afternoon, December 7, 2023, after a 2nd-degree assault was reported there. The assault was reported at 1:00 PM Thursday. 

Three assaults were reported at the store in five weeks late this past summer, including an incident where a store employee was punched. Even Christmas Day hasn't been off-limits for assailants at this store in recent years. At least one person was accused of shoplifting in Thursday's incident.

2nd assault in 10 days reported at Target in Rockville

For the second time in ten days, Montgomery County police were called to the Target store at 5700 Bou Avenue in Rockville, after a 2nd-degree assault was reported there. The assault was reported at 10:25 AM yesterday, December 7, 2023. A similar assault occurred at the store on November 26.

Montgomery County police were called to the Target store at 5700 Bou Avenue in Rockville Monday evening, November 26, 2023, after a 2nd-degree assault was reported there. The assault was reported at 7:44 PM Monday. At least one individual was also accused of shoplifting and fraud in the same incident at the store.

Police called after assault at Rockville restaurant

Montgomery County police were called to a restaurant in Rockville Sunday afternoon, after an individual was allegedly the victim of a 2nd-degree assault there. The assault was reported at a restaurant in the 9900 blovk of Key West Avenue at 4:54 PM Sunday, November 19, 2023. That is at the Shady Grove Professional Center at Key West and Darnestown Road.

Police called after assault on residential street in Derwood

Montgomery County police were called to a residential street in Derwood early yesterday morning, November 11, 2023, after an individual reported being the victim of a 2nd-degree assault there. The assault was reported in the 17400 block of Beauvoir Boulevard at 1:22 AM Saturday. That is near Mill Creek Towne Local Park.

Rockville City police responded to a report of a 2nd-degree assault at an apartment complex near Rockville High School early Saturday morning, November 4, 2023. The assault was reported in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 14000 block of Cove Lane at 12:40 AM Saturday. That appears to be the Woods Edge Apartments.

2 assaults in 1 week reported at Magruder High School in Derwood

A second assault in less than a week was reported at Col. Zadok Magruder High School at 5939 Muncaster Mill Road yesterday morning, November 2, 2023. The 2nd-degree assault was reported at the school at 7:53 AM Thursday. A 2nd-degree assault was reported at the public high school exactly a week earlier.

Assault at medical office in Rockville

Montgomery County police were called to a medical office in Rockville Monday morning, October 30, 2023, after someone reported having been the victim of a 2nd-degree assault there. The assault was reported in the 3200 block of Tower Oaks Boulevard at 9:10 AM Monday. That appears to be an office in the Tower Oaks Professional Park.

Rockville City police were called to an auto repair shop in an East Rockville industrial park Friday morning, October 27, 2023, after someone reported having been the victim of a 2nd-degree assault there. The assault was reported at a repair shop in the 7400 block of Westmore Road at 10:54 AM.
