Goodyear tire shop posts "coming soon" signage at Rockville Town Square

The new tire retail concept from Goodyear is hinting at its imminent arrival on Gibbs Street at Rockville Town Square. But it's still not giving us the name of the concept, which has been referred to as "Roll by Goodyear" in trademark filings.

  5. Federal Realty needs to sell RTS if they're going to actively suck like this. Surrounding blocks have added awesome tenants, yet FRIT adds tire stores and banks - and still sit on a half-dozen vacancies.

    1. Very bad restaurant. Why we don't have places like in Pike and Rose or even Potomac? Where are all these prime stores and restaurants?

    2. Why you ask? Again I repeat, the demographics (Household in general, including income level, and age) don't measure up to the requirements of the higher-end retail tenants that fill the space on the Pike and in Potomac. Rockville never has, and until we can attract a bigger base of private side employers, or will get that retail.

    3. I don't understand what the problem is with the management of town center. It's not just demographics. There are tons of great nearby businesses that thrive and are way better than anything at Pike and Rose, etc. Bob's Shanghai, Saint's Row Brewing, Fresh Baguette, Thai Cuisine (Better than Tara Thai). Town Center should have tried to get the newer La Limena. Pizza CS is going to be looking for a new location sooner or later. There are fantastic places in Rockville that do very well, just not in town center, and that is the management's fault.
